Since joining the team during the 2001 Hurling Championship, Mullane has won 4 Munster Winners’ Medals, 1 National League Winners’ Medal and 5 All Star Awards! He has also won several awards playing for local Waterford Club, De La Salle.
Irish sports commentator & TV presenter Marty Morrissey will be our MC during our GAA Appreciation Panel Wednesday July 31st!
Hurling and football were both a big part of Morrissey’s life as he played for club and county during his sporting career. Whilst attending UCC, Morrissey started to get involved in coaching – even reaching minor titles.
His broadcasting career began in 1988 on the local “Cork Multi-Channel” before leaving in 1994 to join the RTÉ TV Sports Department.
Kerry footballer, Marc O’Sé, played for his county between 2002 & 2016 and for his local club until 2018. Well decorated, O’Sé has won 5 All-Ireland Senior Championships with Kerry along with 10 Munster Titles, 3 National Football Leagues and a Munster Minor Football Championship.
O’Sé has been awarded 3 All-Star Awards throughout his sporting career having been named both Texaco and All-Stars Footballer of the year in 2007.
Representing Westmeath in Football during his career, Dessie Dolan also played for Ireland in International Rules Football. He won a Leinster Senior Football Championship with Westmeath in 2004 before being awarded an All-Star at the end of the same year.
At club level, Dolan won several underage titles and back-to-back senior titles with his club, Garry Castle.
Anthony Daly initially started his hurling career for St. Flannan’s College, making his senior debut for Clare in the 1984 40 National League. He won 2 All-Ireland medals & 3 Munster Medals whilst playing as a member for the Clare team, where he was Captain on the title winning teams in 1995 and 1997.
Daly was voted as one of the 125 Greatest Hurlers of All-Time in a 2004 poll. After retiring as a player, he became involved in coaching and management for the senior teams in both Clare and Dublin.
